Off-Record Politeness Strategies Used by the EFL Teachers for Blended Classroom

The purpose of this study was to determine the politeness strategies used by teachers when teaching English in coeducational classrooms and impact these on students. We focused analyzing teachers' verbal perceptions off-record explained implications as found two lesson recordings. Researchers employed targeted selection informative qualitative studies obtain data. Data were collected through interviews observations. transcribed conversation applied theory Brown Levinson analyze it. subjects high school South Sulawesi. observed recording teacher activity it using etiquette techniques Levinson. Consequently, effects students learning are motivation, student attitudes (emotional), respect for teachers, self-confidence, activity, participation process, integrity.
